Senior Security Services Engineer

Job Description/Expectations :
The Senior Security Services Engineer will be responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and integration of security for the corporate WAN, LAN, and server architecture. This individual will also be responsible for the implementation and administration of network security hardware and software, enforcing the network security policy, and complying with requirements of external security audits and recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering or other relevant fields.
  • Minimum of 2 to 4 years directly related work experience in network, security administration and engineering.
  • Experience in enterprise security architecture.
  • Experience in enterprise security document creation.
  • Working knowledge of network security e.g. Juniper firewalls, SonicWALL, Checkpoint firewalls Cisco ASA, intrusion detection systems, authentication mechanisms, encryption technologies, and networking protocols including other enterprise security systems.
  • Strong analytical, reasoning and organizational skills are essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with all levels of personnel both internally and externally; e.g. leadership, executives, clients, vendors, and agencies.
  •  Ability to work in and constructively contribute to a teamwork environment and meet stringent deadlines.
  • One or more of the following certifications:
    CompTIA Security+
    EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker (C|EH)
    CompTIA Certified Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP)

Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements, maintains and recommends for enterprise information security architectures and solutions.
  • Perform research, analysis, testing, and validation of any new information security technologies.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessment, penetration testing and security monitoring.
  • Perform regularly scheduled software patching/updates, vulnerability scans/remediation, and other security mitigation activities for enterprise security systems.
  • Identify potential cybersecurity problems, trends, risks, weaknesses and recommends specific modifications and solutions to reduce information systems security risks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Perform incident handling/ response, exploit analysis, tool deployment, and information security and intrusion analysis.
  • Manage and maintain firewalls, firewall rules, password management systems, intrusion detection systems, system access permissions, server security settings, endpoint security, spam filtering and other enterprise security systems.
  • Assist with preparing reports and presentations for management including security findings, recommendations, penetration, and vulnerability analysis of various security technologies.
  • Assist with development and implementation of Security Awareness Training for an entire organization.
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of processes, procedures, standards, and policies.
  • Educate IT team members in security best practices.
  • Provide on-call security support during non-business hours.
  • Participate in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Work Conditions

9:00 am – 6:00 pm, Monday – Friday, 40-hour work week, 24 x 7 on-call as needed.

System Administrator

Job Description/Expectations :
The System Administrator’s role is to maintain, upgrade and manage server and information systems. The System Administrator ensures that systems are optimized, resources are managed, security is maintained and backups and support systems are available. The System Administrator will have strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills which will be used to resolve issues and maximize the benefit of IT systems investments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor (4-year) degree, with a technical major such as engineering or computer science.
  • Experience with Microsoft, Linux server technologies.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL, Linux SQL, Mail System, Web Servers , Backup system, NAS
    and SAN Storage.
  • Excellent listening, judgment and communication skills; an organized and systematic mind.
  • Ability to be hands-on with technology and lead in problem analysis and resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Minimum of 2 years of System Administration experience.
  • Broad system experience with Microsoft, and Linux Operating Systems.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint, MS SQL, Exchange, Skype for Business, and Active Directory.
  • Apply Operating System patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure/add new services as necessary.
  • Upgrade and configure system software that supports Movaci’s infrastructure applications or Asset Management applications per project or operational needs.
  • Install new and rebuild existing servers, configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
  • Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.
  • Research and recommend innovative, and where possible, automated approaches for system administration tasks.
  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
  • Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary.
  • Provide Tier II/other support per request from various constituencies. Investigate and troubleshoot issues.

Work Conditions

Service Desk Analyst

Job Description/Expectations :
The main role of Movaci’s Service Desk is to provide Level 1 and 2 incident resolution and escalation to Level 3 engineers. Movaci’s Service Desk also assists other Movaci departments to troubleshoot problems that external customers and internal users encounter with Movaci services.

Qualifications

  • Ability to discern customers’ needs and troubleshoot accordingly.
  • Ability to communicate with customers’ in a professional manner.
  • Experience in repairing and configuring computer hardware and applications
  • Experience in repairing and configuring basic network hardware and applications.
  • Willingness to learn about and research new hardware and applications in the IT field.
  • Knowledge of how to make/repair physical layer/media networking equipment.
  • Experience with driving a car and own a current drivers license. • Strong English reading, comprehension and writing skills.
  • Mid to Good spoken English.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in Movaci projects assigned to the Service Desk department.
  • Train and assist fellow staff with less experience.
  • Monitor, answer and escalate tickets in ticket queues according to SLA agreements with customers and skill set of employees.
  • Perform LV 1 and LV 2 onsite technical support according to SLA agreements.
  • Provide remote support to customers who have an SLA agreement.
  • Provide technical support and training for all customers PC & Laptop units that arrive.
  • Track, maintain, monitor and support Movaci office workstations and hardware.
  • Perform bi-weekly Service Desk hardware inventory stock audits.
  • When authorized by Service Desk manager or Lead, assist the Administrative department with basic maintenance of company property.
  • When authorized by Service Desk manager or Lead; work with other Technical departments in Movaci on projects & tasks.
