Urgent: POODLE Vulnerability & Outgoing Email

October 16, 2014

In response to the POODLE security vulnerability Movaci Security Services has disabled SSL version 2 access to all of our global services including Secure Web Hosting, Secure Email, Secure VPN and Secure Instant Messaging (IM). We are now enforcing the use of TLS 1.2 across all of our services. Due to the severity and urgency of this issue we were unable to provide adequate advance notice to our customers.

Movaci customers using an email clients to download their mail from our servers (e.g. Microsoft Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird) may be required to change their Outgoing Server (SMTP) encryption from SSL to TLS in order to be able to send email. All other systems and settings should work “as-is” with no modifications required. If you are experiencing issues sending email you may temporarily use http://webmail.your-domain.com (where your-domain.com is your website address) as an interim solution.

Should you require any assistance please contact the Movaci Helpdesk using my.movaci.com.
